For the first time, the QUAMPO project will aim to assess the quality of coastal port environments in north Corsica using three model species and combining three disciplines:

  • biochemistry to assess the state of health of model species,
  • analytical chemistry to measure the contaminants within integrating matrices (flesh, water, sediments),
  • ecotoxicogenomic in order to understand, on a finer space-time scale, the effect of pollution on port areas on marine organisms.

Finally, the evaluation of the food chain (phytoplankton, biological models) contamination by trace elements will be measured to estimate the risk for human health.
